Seems correct. I don't think I've ever installed anything except KUAL extensions after I have JB + MRPI + hotfix.

I think that you should PM NiLuJe and ask him to review this thread. Maybe he has some insight into what went wrong and what to try.

I think that the PW2 is special in that you can downgrade to earlier firmware with much easier jailbreak methods, so you might want to read some of the PW2 specific threads.

If you are sure that you want to "wipe the Kindle and start over", then you can reset the kindle then restart (reboot) a couple of times. The reset will remove the JB, all user content and settings and delete databases, etc. from /var. The reboots remove all traces of the hotfix.
