Did you look at the sample epub and kepub.epub I attached? On my Sage and Libra Colour, underlines show on both. The first attached image is from the epub version while the second is the kepub version.

Please note that you have to remove solid from the underline class since, as I earlier mentioned, that will cause the WebKit based renderer to not show an underline.
