You have to download Kindle books you've bought via Amazon's web site.
Log into Amazon web, go to your account, Content and Devices, Books, click on the "More Actions" for the book you want and select "Download and Install Over USB". That will download the ebook in AZW3 format which you can then import into Calibre to strip DRM and convert to another format for a non-Amazon ereader or PC program to open and read like EPUB. Unfortunately, you have to do it for every book one by one.

As for the Google books, I don't use them and can't help.
