Mmm, I've got batteries out my ears.
I reused the BMS (the skinny PCB) off the old battery pack.
The Pokes use thin batteries. Most are thicker.
Since the cover uses a plastic cradle in the back I just put it back together without the original actual back case.

Be careful if you want to futz with the battery.
And make sure that you get the polarity correct.
