Version 7.19.0.100 (1.351401) here, and yes, the toolbar option is greyed out. But that's because the Kindle app does't have any toolbar, isn't it? And no sidebar either, hence its menu entry is also greyed out.
The menu bar entries shouldn't exist at all, that's the confusing part.
