Ah... I see. I agree that QtLinguist can be a hassle (especially for volunteer translators) but I need something I can automate. I need something that can extract the strings that need translating into a .json (which can then be edited), and could automatically update the existing jsons when the source changes.
But for something with only a handful of strings, your solution is as good as any!
