Hmmm...that makes some sense (i.e. having a minimum of 300 points), but in my case, the book was only $1.99, and I didn't end up with a $1.01 credit over, it just deducted the points. And I still had 249 points towards my next 300 for a $3 credit. So it did do just the deduction of 199 points.
But now, when I look at a $1.99 book, but have only 249 points, it won't let me do it, and looks like your screenshot. Even though 249 points would be enough for a $1.99 book.
Once I build up to 300 or more again, I'll see if the option to do a "partial" against a specific book shows up again, and post here. If that's the case, I still think I like the "partial redemption" thing. We shall see...
