Firstly, when did Butcher ever tell you anything other than he has plans for the series and
intends to write more? Did he lie by telling you the books were already written and available? Did he lie by telling you when they would be written? What lies has he told you?
And you want to hold an author personally responsible for the decisions of the buying public? Seriously?
Authors are freelance creators. They create a product, you choose whether to buy it. That's it. They are not your employee. They don't have to create more products for you. They can decide what and when to create, just like you can decide what and when to buy.
Have you ever stopped to think that the constant barrage of entitled readers thinking the author owes them something and demanding they put their life on hold and write might be part of the problem?
