I know there are people who disagree with this, saying that NYT is some of the most superior journalistic work out there... but my feeling is, if that publication can't even recognize or acknowledge the evolution going on in its own industry, they don't seem too superior to me.

Anyway: I don't mind people asking me what I read. The thing is, they almost never do! First, I'm reading on a PDA, and that just doesn't generate the same interest as a Kindle or Sony, etc. Second, on the rare occasion when people do ask me what I read, I tell them "science fiction," and you can see the mists forming over their eyes...
