Kovid,
I've had the same issue, but it started before 7.17 (1-2 weeks ago). When I try to view a book, an empty window pops up for the table of contents and for the book. When I finally give up and close them, I then get the message "calibre-parallel.exe is not responding."
My graphics drivers were already up-to-date, and I've added QTWEBENGINE_CHROMIUM_FLAGS to my user environment variables (with and without the surrounding quotation marks). I had already tried a repair install of Calibre. Same results after each try.
I'm running fully-updated Windows 11 Pro with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics adapter.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
RWC
