I finally figured it out.
From the main menu, tap the magnifying glass icon
Hit OPDS Catalog
Hit the "plus" icon in the top left corner
In the catalog URL, enter the OPDS URL from Kavita, which can be found under User Settings > 3rd party clients. Be sure to look under user settings, not the main application settings.
