2.4.0 (70904) is the name Amazon shows in the About for 2.4.0. For 2.4.1, About will show 2.4.1 (70946). The downloadable installers are named KindleForPC-installer-2.4.70904.exe and KindleForPC-installer-2.4.70946.exe. I tend to the belief that those 5 digit numbers are build numbers. Hopefully this is now as clear as mud!
