I have KfPC ver. 2.2 installed because that's what Pg. 1 of the thread says. I haven't gotten through the 150 other pages of the thread to see what was said about newer versions. If you can download books with 2.2 and Amazon hasn't forced it to update, there's no need to do so yourself. But I'd advise to keep an installer for 2.4.0 handy, just in case.
