Yes, that's what it does on connect. I only want to run it on some connects, not all. I could change the options in KU, turning it off when I don't want the info transferred and back on when I do, but that's many more clicks/keypresses.

The underlying issue is the amount of time it takes. Sometimes I do things that don't require updating info, so I don't want to have to wait for the updating jobs to finish.

FWIW, I've never run restore. As you say, I'd run it after a factory reset.
