Also recommend Kindle Unpack, especially for any fixed layout AZW3 (which I assume might be the case here). Calibre doesn't support conversion to fixed layout ePub, even when the job finishes, the result is often not usable.

An alternative would be to import KFX (using a 'qualifying' Kindle app) and then use KFX import plugin to convert to ePub/PDF/CBZ.

Before converting you may want to add ToC entries. Most graphic novels/comics/manga do not have a functional one (chapters are not included in it).

I have been known to build a KFX with Kindle Create so I can add ToC there, which KFX input 'From KFX' adds to PDF and ePub. And the KFX can be side loaded. It's a bit of work if you want panel navigation, as the automated panel generation does not work very well.
