Qt has done this for over 15 years, so it will not be changed. This is why Ctrl+C to cut on Windows maps to Apple Key C on mac which is traditional on the mac platform.

I see. My inexperience on Mac shows up here. Sorry.
Later, I decided to just assign Cmd+Shift+B to assign focus to the Book Browser and lo and behold, the shortcut entry displayed Ctrl+Shift+B. So it is only the display that is misleading and if that's down to Qt, then tough.
Shame though, because my MacBook does have a Control key as well as Option, fn-globe, and Command. So seeing Ctrl+Shift+B, that's what I did, used the Ctrl key.
