Seems like the Kaleido 3 has been adopted by a few more manufacturers than just PocketBook, so colour options have got more diverse over the last several months. Kobo's lower price point, (according to reviews) better note-taking features, and more focus on sustainability (recycled materials + repairability) were the main things selling me on this reader rather than the PocketBook one.

Yes Kaeido 3 is being used. But that doesn't mean that it's fit for purpose. it's really not. If you are going to be reading a lot of books with just text, you'll find that it won't look all that good because the screen is rather dark.
