Regarding the drag and drop issue, I don't think it will cause me much inconvenience because I don't usually use that functionality.
As for what kovidgoyal mentioned, besides thanking you for developing this tool, which I find to be one of the most comprehensive I know, I am attaching the log file generated when running Calibre in debug mode.
