Should check if Aura One also does it. Think I would have noticed. It never did while I used it but there have been many software updates since then. If Aura One does this now, one of those probably caused it. Use shop via web interface using Firefox anyway. OK have looked. I had signed out of my account on the Aura One and deleted all sideloaded books so my wife could have it. So I cannot look at a wishlist. It is now effectively my wife's property, though I keep the software up to date and this does not need me to be logged on. I could put my account details back in, look at my wishlist, and log out again. I may try that at some point.

It does like it would make using wishlist on Kobo Sage itself somewhere from a tad annoying to positively vexing.
Which firmware are you running?
