Mine doesn’t do that. Is it possible that you mapped by mistake a gesture to disable the accelerometer, and somehow trigger it by chance?

Perhaps one test would be to have a look at the value of the checkbox in the menu at Gear -> Screen -> Rotation -> Ignore accelerometer rotation events when the auto rotation stops working. If it’s checked, then something must trigger it somehow. If not, then the issue has to be something else.
