New to Calibre so figuring out things as I go.

I spent ages yesterday editing tags on Calibre. Today, I learned how to add custom columns using the Fanficfare plugin. I have figured out that I can update the columns using a saved metadata column (since trying to update the books wouldn't work with no new chapters), but that re-adds the tags that I had removed.
