Another Aliette de Bodard book that probably fits in between romance and sci-fi:

A Fire Born of Exile, is described as a "standalone sci-fi romance", however based on other books I've read by de Bodard, which are heavier on the sci-fi/fantasy than on the romance, I posted it there. In any case, it's £0.99 in the UK right now.
