No limitations. I drive on battery and when it runs out, the engine automatically switches over.

I attached a picture of my dashboard. The number on the bottom left is battery. The number on the bottom right is gas.
Full battery charge is about 60 miles. A full tank of gas (12 gallons) is about 360 miles. The AC isn't so bad on power consumption. Heater is worse.
