That's pretty cool. Are there limitations on driving when using the gasoline engine? (max speed, less power, etc.) How far can you drive on a tank of gas, assuming the battery was discharged prior? Is driving using the gasoline engine as the only charging source OK for long term use (you probably wouldn't want to, but could you?) Or is the gasoline engine more like one of those small spare tires they're putting in many cars now - just enough to get you home for short distances at reduced speeds - but you wouldn't want to drive on it for very long.
