Probably not. I have always hated this, but this is a touch screen feature.
At the least I would like the last read date, rating and book mark to be kept, unless I am given the option from the Kobo ereader to override this in case I make a mistake. This is mainly because I do not want older read books at the top of my list in case I accidently opened them.
