What do you mean "setting up the device again"? After you edit the configuration file, you need to safely eject and then hold the power button to turn the device off and on again. When you turn it on, it will take you directly to My Books, and there won't be a setup screen at all.

Thanks for the help! Managed to boot into My Books. The problem was I didn't restart the device directly after unplugging it.
