I have been changing Tables of Contents or removing sections, so that's likely it.
It sounds as if the answer is to turn off "Do not Treat replacement books as new books". My usual edit is because the font is too small (CSS formatting), something I notice quickly, so losing TOC, etc. is not a problem. I only edit other things once I start due to CSS issues. I suppose the alternative is not to edit anything else and leave the option checked.
I'm I understanding correctly?
