Many, many thanks Marek, emergency.sh did work regarding mrpi. ;log mrpi runs (I get the "Hush..." output).

Do I still need to run the hard float JB Hotfix? I am asking because:

Installation of the Hotfix files for the hard float JB Hotfix and the KUAL Hotfix still fail.

Using MRPI to install KUAL was possible, however. (But I get a failed to mount root fs read-only error. Reboot recommend.)

After a reboot, KUAL works. And KOReader, too!

Many thanks again.

PS: The USBNetLite Installer also fails the remount the rootfs in RO mode on my kindle.
