I do not have the 700, and thus I can just advise you about the reading experience, as the 505 (the one I have) has a very similar one to the 700 (besides the better screen contrast, etc…)

Crop the white margins (you can find in the forums solutions free and payed to do this), crop as much as you can, if you can live with it crop even the header and the page number, then read the text in landscape - the Sony lets you see the full, page in 2 halves, and the reading is quite acceptable.
