I already did that dozens of times: download from the website, copy-paste etc.
However, I paste the app in a subfolder of
/Applications directory:

/Applications/_Multimédia/eBooks
I just tried on the parent folder
/Applications... and it launches. Which is not the case in the subdirectory
/Applications/_Multimédia/eBooks.
Same goes for the
calibre-debug -g command.
I saw that the version 7.16 has been published today.
I did the test with version 7.16.
Again, it doesn't run on the subfolder.
It seems that Calibre doesn't like French characters in the path...
