Yeah, ffnet has been blocked from direct download for the majority of users for years now. If you're only having troubles with one story, you're doing better than everybody else.

There are a couple work arounds that have been added to FanFicFare, but they require more effort:

I did check and I was able to download that story using Browser Cache feature after caching all the chapters.
