You can side load fonts on the Kindle and the Kobo. You can also adjust the weight of each font. On the Kobo you can also set the line-height and margin. So you can use the same font , similar weight, similar line height, and similar margins.

Just side load the same font on both and select that font on both and adjust to be as close as possible.
