So am I, but characters may use am and pm in dialogue.
Also people get confused by 12 am and 12 pm (midnight and noon are obvious as is 00:00.)
I'm also a fan of YYYY-MM-DD (ISO). No USA vs rest of world is it dd-mm or mm-dd and it text sorts. Also a 2 digit year was always a bad idea, even before Y2K.
Why are plastic cards MM/YY?
My solution to SMALL CAPS when formatting is to never use them. Nor Drop caps. Maybe it's boring, but I keep fancy for calligraphy where the appearance is as important as the content and it's only one page.
