I didn’t test on anything but a Kindle, but unchecking the checkbox stops the server, just like the SSH server. If it doesn’t stop the server, that’s a bug, in which case please let me know!

Also, at least on Kindle, closing KOReader actually does not kill the Filebrowser server, due to the lack of any isolation or serious service supervision.
