My washing machine (it was pretty ancient) broke a week ago. As it was old, there was no point in repairing it. Fortunately, an acquaintance had a used, but working machine gathering dust in her garage and she gave it to me. I was also running low on clean clothes when it arrived on Friday (I haven't enough money to buy a new machine at the moment).
