The thing to do is download the the ePub to make sure you have the latest version. It has to be ePub and not KePub if you bought it from Kobo. Download one of the programs that allows you to create a patch file. So anyone that has the same copy can use the patch file to create your copy. That would mean they have to have the source file in order to get your modified copy.

I did this with an eBook on here when I converted a free PDF from Tor to an ePub. It was not removed by the staff as it did not violate copyright.
