Oh. I've seen the Onyx not getting erased before.
I don't erase it. The system usually does that on startup.
I've never had a device like that so I can't say where the problem is.
A minor point: ttyscreen is an init service.
Don't run it by "ttyscreen", you could get multiple instances fighting over resources.
Just say "start ttyscreen".
