Edit: Weirdly enough reinstalling 5.16.2.0.1 twice didn't save it, still stuck at the Kindle screen, and doesn't seem to want to boot farther? It does let me mount it on my computer though, so not completely dead. It does still make coredump files, not sure if these would be interesting to try to fix it?

Edit again: Okay, so doing both a reinstall and a DO_FACTORY_RESTORE apparently fixed it. Not quite sure what's happening, but at least I have the language menu again!
Now I'm curious, is there any way to make sure things don't get as bad? I really don't think I did that much to blow it up like this, are Kindles that fragile? I wish there was a way to just reinstall, I've been using android tablets too long lol
