I dug up an old kindle I hadn't used in years that I'd Jailbroken in 2016. I only remember putting screensavers on it.
I connected it to wifi and it updated to 5.12.2.2 without my consent
I noticed my cool screensavers are all gone! Does this mean I lost my jailbreak? I plugged in the kindle and I have all my custom screensavers in a folder. I want to get them set back up again.
Do I need to start from scratch? I put the hotfix in the root directory and tried to update but it didn't work.
Is it safe to factory reset? I have all my books in calibre.
I also just got a kindle voyage for $5 at yard sale. That one is on 5.7.4, any advice for what to be aware of before starting to mess with that one?
