Basically, you first convert PDF into KPF with "Kindle Create" program from Amazon (file-new project-print replica-choose pdf-export). Then you run the command in the directory where your KPF file is.

I do not believe that to be the best approach for this particular book. From the log it appears to be a PDF containing text so converting to a reflowable format would result in the most readable format for a Kindle device as long as it converts fairly cleanly.
Otherwise I suggest simply sideloading the original PDF. That is not going to be a great reading experieance on abaxmith's 7th generation Kindle PaperWhite (PW3), but is better than nothing. It would make sense to consider using KFX Print Replica only if abaxmith owned a Kindle Scribe as that would enable annotating the book.

They are the same thing. I will change the documentation to use "Guided View" more consistently.

I remember that Guided View didn't work on a test file that I did a while back, now it works. It could be that I just didn't know how to enable it on the reader, or that it started to work with one of the updates on Kindle. I'm leaning towards the latter as I remember tapping the screen like a fool trying to get it to work, but who knows. It's the same file, so it's nothing to do with KFX Output and Kindle Create versions.

Support for Guided View is a recent change introduced early this year in Kindle firmware version 5.16.6. It does not work in older Kindle firmware. I will update the documentation to reflect that.
