what am i gonna do now?

I'm sorry, by the way, i'm german, and right now really pissed, so my english might not be that good at the moment...

I am not a native English speaker either, I cannot be certain of the specific situation you described.

The following two situations:

1.If you change the text or layout in the book, you can check if other replies have answers that can help you.

2.If you use it for reading and marking, you need to check the format of your e-book. Books in EPUB format, the tags you make will be moved together with the books to other directories. Books in azw3 and Mobi formats will not. Because the repair cost is very high. If you are in this situation, you can move the book to its original position, then you can see the markings you made.

I hope it will be useful to you and can reduce your losses.
