If you use your PC only for gaming and browsing, then of course it's no wonder you're satisfied with your 11-year-old device. There are folks who use their computers for other things and an ancient device may not be capable of keeping up with those demands.
And who is talking about a year or two? I'm talking about devices more than a decade old. My main laptop is 4 years old, my Kobos are 3 years old; I have no intention of ditching any of them yet. But a 11-year-old or older device just doesn't do what I want it to do.
