Same here. I bought it from a friend, it was registered to his account. Yesterday I deregisted the device but whether I give my email address or phone number and password, just comes a "verify account" or what, appearing an animated small ring in the upper left corner and then nothing.
At the same time, a button-Kindle 4 smoothly registered after a few attempts.
