Using ver 2.8 with ver 7.12 to convert ePub to KFX and then use calibredb to extract and rename the ePub and the kfx files to two single flat folders:

export --progress --all --dont-save-cover --dont-write-opf --format kfx --single-dir --template {authors}-{series}{series_index:0>2s|[|]-}{title} --to-dir sDestination

The epub files copy over quickly with just the progress percentage showing, but the kfx files seem to have some 'extra processing' and take longer. (see attachment)

I was surprised by the extra processing since the conversion has been done in Calibre before the calibredb

Is this extra processing necessary or is there a setting I missed?
