My calibre library has a collection of books not using the Latin alphabet. So far I see no issues with the titles/authors/other metadata.

If you are looking inside the calibre library at the transliterated filename used internally to the library, stop doing so. Treat it as a black box. The send to device and save to disk are the way to get books out of the library.

I've attached an image of some of the test books as the titles/authors are shown.
