Finally I noticed your comment with presumably working method.
- A couple of days ago I had to give in after numerous attempts to reconcile Kobo Nickel native UI with Calibre (kepubify was not enough for me, since I want books on device grouped by series)
- Every now and then I saw error message (either 'cannot connect' or 'file doesn't exist' or simply 'missing' files in Device view in Calibre, or missing the whole content of a book that nevertheless was present in My Books view on Kobo).
- The only way I knew then - was to make device factory reset. - And even more: I didn't know how to avoid Kobo DB corruption.
So I switched to 'KOReader + NickelMenu' combination. Which (on the other hand) has two (at least two) weird drawbacks: 1. heigher battery consumption (since KOReader is not optimized at all for Kobo Sage SoC) and 2. lazy (if any) auto-rotation (I have not found the reason).
My following 4 questions in this regard are:
1. I have heard that with the help of NickelMenu one can avoid second physical connection between Kobo and Calibre on PC via USB. - How does it look like?
2. Shall I reboot device before second connect (similar to first connect)? ... To avoid possible DB corruption on Kobo?
3. Is KoboTouchExtended plugin on Calibre enough to reconcile Kobo with Calibre keeping in mind transfer of series info from Calibre to Kobo? - Or I will need also plugins like KoboUtilities? - Or SmartEject?
4. Can I reboot Kobo without NickelMenu or it' absolutely essential tool in this situation?
