I don't find ebooks more hurried.
I've not had an issue with flat batteries.
I have some power banks and a solar panel if we have months without electricity.

I find many printed books have a too small font to save paper. They discolour with age and go mouldy if damp. Time consuming to "backup". All my eBooks have multiple backups.

I don't care for smell or texture of books. There is food and drinks for that. It's the content that counts.

Art books and children's books are not novels. The eink is best for novels and smaller children better with physical books. For colour and larger material of fixed layout I use a TCL Nxtpaper 11, which is nearly as good as eink for mono novels and pretty good on charge life.

If a paper book falls in water, or has a drink spilled on it or is lost or chewed by a dog, it's gone. An ereader can be destroyed, but you still have the backup of all the ebooks. Replacement is about the cost of 10 non=discount paperbacks or one high end art book. It can easily carry 14,000 to 20,000 novels. I have 3,000 paper books and that takes up a huge amount of space.

I can easily put the same ebook on my phone, 8″ ereader, 4.7″ ereader and 11″ (approx) tablet.
I convert wordprocessor files to ebook and save 1000s of pages of print.
