Unlike you and Quoth, however, I didn’t mind flipping the stylus over for the eraser. It was a rather simple flick for me, perhaps because I am an artist, so I actually enjoyed that aspect of the Kobo Stylus2.
How often do you go through nibs with the 520C?

Although I purchased extra nibs, I haven't had to replace one yet but keep in mind I am no artist. Not even close. My use is primarily annotating and highlighting as well as notebook usage. I write with a light touch.
I have read differing comments/reviews on the 520C & 530 for artistic use. More research might be helpful to you. The feel while writing is different with just a tad more resistance than the Stylus2 in my humble, non-artistic, non-professional opinion. I would equate the difference in resistance to the different hardness of lead, if that makes sense. (Kobo having the "harder" nib) Also, I have no helpful knowledge regarding tilt.
OTOH, the 530 is the updated version of the 520C and has an "eraser" on the tail end. Unfortunately, it seems to be out of stock at the moment.**
**Update: as of 5 June it appears to be in stock again at AMZ
