I've had my Kindle 2 for a few weeks and just ran into a formatting problem with the book "Enterprise Integration Patterns". About three chapters into the book, I noticed that some of the text was flowing off the screen and couldn't be read. After some experimenting, I found ...
- Changing the font size didnt' seem to help. Different parts of the text went missing.
- I could turn on text-to-speech and the entire text was read correctly.
- When I used the thumbstick to navigate, it would mark (with the vertical line) several lines at once, not just one line. Once the region was selected, I could scroll left and right with the thumbstick. Usable, but slow.
This only appears to happen with sidebar notes and the example sections.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on with this book? Is this something that could be fixed with a software update? What's the best way to report a problem to the publisher?
