Given the way annotations work this isnt really feasible in an efficient way. But at least in the calibre viewer, you can kind of get this functionality by using the highlights panel. Create your notes the first time you see the name/word/whatever. Then your note will be present in the highlights panel where you can just search for the word to quickly see its associated note.
This is obv not as convenient as just double clicking but its not too bad. You double click, click the copy button then right click in the search box in the highlights panel and paste and press enter.
